S1P safety standard

S1P-designated footwear is evaluated using the same tests as SB footwear with additional tests assessing anti-static properties, penetration resistance (i.e., nail protection), and heel energy absorption (i.e., shock absorption).

S1 safety standard

Safety-tipped shoe, antistatic, with closed, energy-absorbing heel.  Designed for wear in dry working conditions.

S2 safety standard

Safety-tipped shoe, antistatic, with closed, energy-absorbing heel and waterproof shank (60 min.).  Designed for wear in wet working conditions.
